Instructions
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a large bowl, place the mixed salad greens.
Arrange the cooked meat over the salad greens. Top with cherry tomatoes, diced avocado, and shredded cheese.
Drizzle sour cream over the top and sprinkle with chopped cilantro. Add sliced jalapeños for an extra kick, if desired.
Serve the salad in bowls with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top just before enjoying.
