Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup hazelnut butter (or any nut butter of your choice)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, cocoa powder, and chopped hazelnuts. Stir until mixed evenly.

In a separate bowl, mix the hazelnut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt until smooth.

Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined. You should be able to form a dough-like consistency.

Fold in the dark chocolate chips.

Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.

Once chilled, scoop out small portions of the mixture (about one tablespoon each) and roll them into balls using your hands.

Place the energy balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate again for about 15 minutes to firm up.

Store the energy balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for longer shelf life.
