canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

chickpeas, drained and rinsed

tablespoons
tahini

olive oil

tablespoons
lemon juice

clove
garlic, minced

ground cumin
1/2
teaspoon
smoked paprika
to taste
salt and pepper
as needed
water for desired consistency
to taste
pumpkin seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a food processor, combine the pumpkin puree, chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, and smoked paprika.
Blend the mixture until smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary.
If the hummus is too thick, gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired creamy consistency is reached.
Taste and season with salt and pepper according to your preference. Blend again to mix.
Transfer the creamy pumpkin hummus to a serving bowl, and drizzle with a bit more olive oil on top.
Sprinkle pumpkin seeds over the hummus for added crunch and garnish.
Notes
Serve with pita chips, sliced veggies, or crusty bread for a delightful snack.
