Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup marinara sauce

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup sliced pepperoni

½ cup sliced bell peppers (any color)

½ cup sliced black olives

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape, about ½ inch thick.

Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving about an inch from the edges.

Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Layer the pepperoni, sliced bell peppers, and black olives on top of the cheese.

Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the toppings followed by oregano and garlic powder for additional flavor.

Carefully roll the dough from one side to the other, ensuring the fillings stay inside. Pinch the ends to seal the Stromboli.

Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the top of the Stromboli with the beaten egg and drizzle olive oil over it for a golden finish.

Using a sharp knife, make a few slits on top to allow steam to escape during baking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Once done, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Serve warm with additional marinara sauce on the side for dipping, and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
