4medium-sizedapples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), sliced
0.5cupcream cheese, softened
1tablespoonpowdered sugar
Instructions
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar and butter. Stir continuously until the mixture begins to bubble and the sugar dissolves completely, about 3-5 minutes.
Carefully add the heavy cream, stirring constantly until combined. Allow the mixture to boil for an additional 2-3 minutes without stirring, until it thickens slightly.
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt. Let it cool slightly while you prepare the dip base.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar, beating with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
Once the caramel has cooled for about 10 minutes, drizzle a portion over the cream cheese mixture and fold it gently to create a marbled effect.
Spoon the caramel cream cheese dip into a serving bowl and pour the remaining salted caramel on top, drizzling it generously.
Serve the dip alongside apple slices for dipping.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use high-quality butter and cream.
